Amy Sage graduated in 2012 with First Class Honours in BA Fine Art at University Campus Suffolk. Performance is an integral part of her practice, being the sole protagonist where she presents varied scale projections and live events. Her work encourages the viewer to examine our physical selves to be free of cultural and social taboos, simultaneously infusing humorous and provocative qualities.

Heightening representations of the female she wears female regalia: dress and high heels, allowing her to subvert usual patriarchal notions of the female. Amy’s performances have been exhibited at the international multimedia art and music festival ‘Centras’ in Lithuania and the Spill National Platform Festival of Performance 2012 in Ipswich. Earlier this year, she had a residency at the Metal Culture Switch Ideas Lab, held at The Pacitti Company, Think Tank in Ipswich, she is also currently working with Giovanna Maria Casetta on “Art Scene Investigations” as one of the team, the Premier is taking place at Colchester Arts Centre on 7th of March.
